Tourists in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir, located in the extreme northern region of India, is a spectacular natural hub. The region is also famous for the religious shrines and spirituality. Jammu, the plateau, also the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is called the city of temples. The temple of lord Raghunath was constructed by Maharaja Ranjit Singh during his era. There is another temple of lord Shiva, constructed by the Maharaja Gulab Singh. Jammu, the city located on the banks of river Tawi, has an interesting tale. In the past centuries, a king named Jambu Lochan saw a goat and a tiger drinking the water from the same stream. He was really fascinated with this act of peaceful coexistence. He decided to build the city called Jammu after his name. From here, one can also visit Katra from where one can go to the Trikuta hills to reach the cave of goddess Vaishnodevi. The goddess manifests in the cave in the form of self manifested three rock energies.
From Jammu, the tourist can go to the place called Patnitop. This is a honeymoon place and also good for the general vacation during the summer season. Patnitop has the large pine trees and from here, the tourist an also visit Nathatop to enjoy the amazing sunset experience. From Patnitop, one can also go to Sanasar and Sudh Mahadev. Sanasar is a place known for the paragliding. The adventurists love to be in this part of the world because of the thrill associated.
From Patnitop, the tourist can move in a car or a jeep towards the capital city of Srinagar. This is the beautiful city also called the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. In the past, the city came under the great king emperor Ashoka. This is mentioned in the famous book of Rajtarangini. Known for the mesmerizing gardens and the wonderful lake Dal, the city of Srinagar is a must go experience for the honeymoon enthusiast. The famous gardens Nishat, Shalimar, Harwan, Cheshmashahi and the famous Pari Mahal are a must see spots here. Go to Gulmarg and enjoy the skiing on the crispy mountain snow slops of the region. From Gulmarg, the tourist can also visit Sonmarg, another wonderful hub of nature also called the meadow of gold in the literal English language. Sonmarg is the gateway to the monastic and high adventure region of Leh Ladakh. Leh Ladakh is a wonderful natural belt of high altitude.
